Sophie's Studio
Sophie’s practice explores the complexities of living with ADHD, drawing on her own lived experience to inform her paintings. She uses abstraction to express the intense fluctuations of focus, emotion, and energy that characterise the condition. Her work reflects both the challenges, such as overwhelm, disorganisation, and restlessness, and the unexpected moments of clarity and beauty that arise within them. Through dynamic mark-making and layered textures, Sophie aims to bring visibility to the often-invisible realities of neurodivergence. Her paintings transform personal struggle into something meaningful, offering a space where chaos and creativity can coexist and be appreciated on their own terms.
